THE HOTEL

After graduating UCSD, I collaborated with several alumni through the CalIT2 research facility. Many of the projects at CalIT2 are aimed at pushing the boundaries within current technology. In 2010, I was asked to contribute original music on a video installation called 'The Hotel' by Jordan Crandall. It was shown at various galleries, including the Tate Modern in London for a three month exhibition. The theme of the film was voyeurism and the audio needed to reflect a sense of tension within the characters. It was a fun project to get outside of the box and experiment with sound textures and themes.

IMMERSIVE AUDIO (FILM & TV)

During college I worked at a record label and recording studio. Through that experience, I met several amazing film composers and had the opportunity to contribute original music on film, tv and corporate projects. One of my favorite projects was recording vocals for the Behind the Scenes trailer for The New World. It was aired at all Regal Cinemas (internationally), Entertainment Tonight and other retailers.

During my time freelancing as a multimedia designer, I had the privilege of working with companies such as Sony Online Entertainment, Lions Gate Films & New Line Cinemas and collaborating with a variety of mediums and creative departments. Composing audio for film with 2-channel, 5.1 and 8.1 surround sound has also given me a passion for VR which is a way to visualize similar concepts found in immersive audio.
